| 19 top officers transferred | | Parvez malik posted as Deputy Commissioner available | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 7: In first ever major administrative reshuffle of the year, the government has recalled on of the top bureaucratic Mohammad Iqbal Khandey back to the civil secretariat. Khandey is among 19 officers whose fresh transfers and postings were approved in a meeting of the state cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah here this morning.
Khandey was pulled out of the civil secretariat in the first ever administrative reshuffle carried out by the Omar Abdullah government in February last year. Until then Principal Secretary in Forest Department, he was posted as Director General of Institute of Management and Public Administration, a relatively insignificant post.
Through today’s cabinet decision Iqbal Khandey was transferred and posted as Principal Secretary to Government, Agriculture Production Department.
Significantly, another top bureaucrat Dr Arun Kumar, who was recalled from the Raj Bhawan during Amarnath land row, could not find a key posting even a year and half after the controversy. Kumar, presently Principal Secretary, Information and Technology has been transferred and posted as Chairman J&K Special Tribunal. His wife Sonali Kumar, presently Principal Secretary, Agriculture Production Department has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary (Coordination) J&K Government, New Delhi. This post was until recently held by Pankaj Jain who has proceeded on central deputation as Additional Secretary to Government of India.
Dr. R. K. Jerath, Financial Commissioner, Revenue has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Health and Medical Education Department.
Suresh Kumar has been posted as Commissioner/Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Department.
Atal Dulloo, Commissioner/Secretary, Health and Medical Education Department has been transferred and posted as Commissioner/Secretary, Science and Technology and Information Technology Department.
Abdul Hameed, Commissioner/Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Department has been transferred and posted as Director General, IMPA.
A. K. Raina, Member J&K Special Tribunal has been transferred and posted Commissioner of Inquiries, J&K.
Dr. Syed Mohammad Fazalullah, Commissioner of Inquiries, J&K has been transferred and posted as Transport Commissioner.
Sudershan Sharma, Joint Settlement Commissioner, Jammu has been transferred and posted as Settlement Commissioner, J&K.
Parvez Malik, Special Secretary, Higher Education has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla.
Baseer Ahmed, Custodian General has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur.
Abdul Latif Deva, Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla has been transferred and posted as Custodian General.
Ajay Khujaria, Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur has been transferred and posted as Director Agriculture Jammu.
Shabir Ahmed Kanth, Director Geology and Mining has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary, Higher and Technical Education.
Ishtiyaq Ahmed Ashai, Additional Commissioner, Kashmir has been transferred and posted as Director, Geology and Mining.
Vinod Bala Sharma, Incharge Director, Agriculture, Jammu has been posted as OSD in Agriculture Production Department.
Bashir Ahmed Dar, Incharge Director Agriculture, Kashmir has been transferred and posted as OSD in Animal and Sheep Husbandry Department.
Mian Abdul Majeed, Incharge Joint Director, Agriculture, Kashmir has been transferred and posted Incharge Director Agriculture, Kashmir. |
