Addressing a press conference organized at the plush city hotel, invitations of which were circulated by the state Information department on telephone, Ajay Sadhotra launched a scathing attack on Mehbooba and said the only achievement of Mufti Mohd Sayeed led Government was to get the title of second corrupt State of the country which touched to be even first state by the end of their rule. He said that NC is facilitating 'quiet talks' while as PDP is bent to sabotage any solution through these talks and lamented the hypo critic attitude of PDP which has survived only by creating turmoil and raising the slogan of double currency. While enumerating the achievements of present government, Sadhotra said not only two universities were set up but the highest ever Plan of Rs 6700 crore was approved which is a sufficient reply to such forces who cannot tolerate progress of the state. He said PDP has learnt to live by creating confusion and launching false campaigns in order to show its existence and advised the party leadership to see the writing on the wall and be witness to a new chapter of progress and achievements in which their three years rule was the most miserable period with the established title of being the most corrupt regime of the country. Alleging that it was PDP which was against holding Panchayat elections in the state, Sadhotra said NC which was keen on revival of panchayat system as it believes in supremacy of people. Replying to a question by a reporter that the PDP President has alleged that ruling NC leaders are involved in land grabbing, Sadhotra said that their (PDP) government had enough time during their rule to identify such cases and take appropriate action. Since all these allegations were wrong, therefore they miserably failed to identify the same.
