| JURSEA presents memo to VC listing demands | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 8- A delegation of JURSEA, led by its President Rakesh Chib, today called on the Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu and presented a memorandum listing certain demands.
The delegation apprised the Vice Chairman about marks tempering case which was detected in the examination section of the University in the recent pass but till date the culprits of this shameful incident have not been punished for reasons best known to the authorities. Though an inquiry committee was constituted to probe into marks tampering but instead of punishing the guilty persons, the authorities suspended an employee, who recently held a press conference against the University to expose the nexus, VC was told. The delegation also drew the attention of the VC towards the mass copying scandal detected in two colleges and regretted that instead of punishing the guilty re- conduct of examination was ordered.
The deputation also reminded the Vice Chancellor about other demands made earlier including grant of scholarship, action against those involved in sexual harassment and granting admission in Ph. D in various faculties of the University to the students from Kashmir Valley on reciprocal basis.
