| Food, Allied workers stop routine work, organize dharna | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 08- To press the state government to concede their demands, Food and allied workers of CADP Department today stopped their routine work for three hours and staged protest dharna at various depots of CAPD Jammu. Shouting anti- Director slogans, the workers termed the non-serious attitude and delaying tactics adopted by the Director CA&PD in implementing orders as anti-labour policies. Speaking on the occasion, Bishan Dass, president, Food and Allied Workers’ Union expressed resentment and anguish over non-implementation of the Government orders 190-F of 2009 dated August 31, 2009 wherein Minimum Wages have been increased by the Government and Government order NO.117-CAPD of 2009 dated December 29, 2009 regarding implementation of Provident Fund and Gratuity scheme, Health Cover through ESI in favour of Hammals in CAPD Department and non-revision of rates of 10 Kg bag atta. The workers appealed the Minister concerned to redress the grievances of CAPD workers by solving their problems and getting these orders implemented.
