| JKLTF endorses EJAC Jan 12 call | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 8- Employees Joint Action Committee received a shot in arm today with all Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation (JKLTF) endorsing the one day token strike called by EJAC on January 12. Addressing media persons here today, Balwan Singh Jamwal president of the Federation alleged non-serious and criminal silence attitude of State Government by not implementing its left out cabinet decision regarding the employees’ demands. He criticized the negative and indifferent attitude of the government who, he alleged, has been adopting dillydallying approach towards the agreed demands. He demanded immediate release of arrears of 6th pay commission arrears due from January 1, 2006 in favour of employees and pensioners, release of pending 5% HRA, regularization of all temporary, adhoc, consolidated, contractual employees and daily rated workers before and after 1994, removal of pay anomalies of various cadres, enhancement of retirement age from 58 to 60 years as per commitment, conversion of Cola into DA of PSU employees. He appealed to the leaders of the all factions of EJAC to form a common platform by giving up their narrow differences and patty interests for the larger interest of employees’ community of the state. He, however, condemned the decision of JCC of expelling Ram Kumar Sharma, Pardeep Sharma and Gafoor Dar and said that they are real trade unionists in Jammu and Kashmir.
