Jammu, Jan 08- Third Additional Sessions Judge Jammu RS Jain today rejected pre-arrest bail of Bharat Bhushan Gupta Chief Manager and Krishan Lal Mehra General Manager (Loan) of Jammu Central Cooperative Bank Limited, alleged involved in embezzlement of more than Rs one crore .
While dismissing the anticipatory bail application, 3rd Additional Sessions Judge, after hearing Additional Public Prosecutor GS Charak and counsel for the petitioners, observed that the petitioners seeking anticipatory bail were granted anticipatory bail on December 23, 2009 on certain conditions. Considering the arguments of Additional Public Prosecutor and counsel for the petitioners and going through the material on record Court further observed that as per the FIR the allegations leveled in the written complaint is that the petitioners by misusing their official position in Jammu Central Cooperative Bank Limited have misappropriated and embezzled money to tune of over Rs one crore. Looking to the serious nature of the allegations leveled against the petitioners, Court is of the view that no ground is made out by the petitioners for granting anticipatory bail as such the application of the petitioners is dismissed.
