| Panel on new admn units revived | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 8: The Government today ordered revival of the Committee constituted to examine the demands for setting up new Administrative Units in the State.
The order to this effect was issued here today, notifying the names of five members with the provision that the senior most Member would act as the Chairman of the Committee.
As per the order, the members for the Committee include, Mr Mushtaq Ahmed Ganai, Mr S R Kapoor, Mumtaz Afzal, Mr Abdul Azim ( all retired IAS officers) and V K Gupta (Retired KAS officer).
The Committee shall complete the unfinished task assigned to it and submit its report to the State Government within a period of one year from the date of issue of the order.
The terms of reference of the Committee as notified by the Revenue Department vide Government Order No. Rev 101 of 2007 and notified Vide endorsement No. Rev/S/45/2007 and Government Order No. 117 –Rev /S of 2008, shall remain unchanged.
