Jammu, Jan 8: In a further push to adhocism in matter of promotions, the government today designated six ‘yet to be confirmed’ Executive Engineers of Power Development Department as in-charge Superintending Engineers.
An official spokesman said that the Government has ordered placement of six ‘in-charge’ Executive Engineers as ‘in-charge’ Superintending Engineers in Power Development Department.
The order amply means that six Engineers who are yet to be confirmed as Executive Engineers have been charged with the responsibility of next higher assignment of Superintending Engineer without following the proper promotion norms. The placement of the Executive Engineers as in-charge Superintending Engineers will be in their own pay and grade.
The engineers placed as Superintending Engineers include Mr. Manzoor Ahmad, LJHP, Baramulla has been placed as in-charge Superintending Engineers EM&RE Circle Bijbehara vice Mr. Zahoor Ahmad,S.Prithpal Singh, Executive Engineer Electric Division Handwara has been placed as in-charge Superintending Engineer JKSPDC, Leh against an available vacancy, Mr.Mohammad Yaseen Malik, in-charge Executive Engineer, JKSPDC Srinagar has been placed as in-charge Superintending Engineer S&O Circle-1 Kashmir against an available vacancy, Mr. P. K. Puri, I/C Executive Engineer STD-11 Jammu has been placed as in-charge Superintending Engineer EM&RE Circle-1 Jammu relieving Mr. Jatinder Sharma of the additional charge of the post, Mr. R. R. Kotwal, in-charge Executive Engineer ED-Doda has been placed as in-charge Superintending Engineer, JKSERC against available vacancy, Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Nisar, in-charge Executive Engineer R&B Kashmir has been placed as in-charge Superintending Engineer PDC Jammu against an available vacancy and Mr. Zahoor Ahmad I/C SE, EM&RE Circle Bijbehara has been placed as in-charge Superintending Engineer P&D Srinagar against an available vacancy.
