| Nago’s brat slaps at cop in hospital | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 08: Brandishing handcuffs, Choudhary Nagar's son Jatinder Singh alias Raja beat up two police constables at the Government Medical College (GMC) Hospital here today. Raja -- the main accused in the infamous Amandeep murder case -- is lodged in the Kot-Bhalwal jail. He was today brought from the jail to a court at Janipura in connection with some another case. At the court complex, he was kept in a lockup till his case turned up for hearing. Police sources said in the lockup, he pretended illness and fell on the floor. Some cops, who watched him, criticised him of his behaviour, saying it was because of him that his father Nagar alias Nago had landed behind the bars. This angered Raja, who tried to assault them, but he was overpowered by the cops and later produced in the court. After the court hearing, cops shifted him to Kot-Bhalwal jail where he again pretended dizziness and collapsed. The jail authorities then referred him to the GMC hospital for check-up with constable Krishan Kumar holding the the pair of handcuffs. Reaching the hospital, he created a scene and misbehaved with some doctors. Another jail staffer, cop Surinder Singh, who was already in the hospital, when asked him why he was shouting and tried to pacify him, he assaulted him on his head and face with the handcuffs as a result of which he sustained serious wounds. When Krishan tried to control him, he too was beaten. Later, DSP Chouhan reached the hospital and controlled Raja. To ensure that he did not attack the cop again, two pairs of handcuffs were fastened round his wrist. He was later examined by doctors and found ok. He was then sent back to the Kot-Bhalwal jail, but this time with a special escort.A case was registered against him at the Bakshi Nagar police station for assaulting a public servant under sections 224, 323, 332 and 353 of RPC.
