| Teachers catalyst for transformation of educational scenario: Malik | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, JANUARY 09-“Teachers play vital role in spreading quality education and transformation of social-change in the society”.
The Minister for Higher Education, Labour and Employment, Mr. Abdul Gani Malik said this on the Master Karam Chand, Best teacher annual award ceremony here today.
As many as, 24 college lecturers from all across the State were awarded for their meritorious service in the field of higher education on the occasion. Director Colleges, Principals of various colleges and galaxy of intellectuals and college lecturers were also present.
Lauding the role of teachers, the Minister impressed upon the teaching community to guide and inspire students to enrich discipline and inculcate values among students in consonance with our cultural heritage and social objectives. He said that Governments endeavours to create atmosphere which will help to motivate and inspire teachers on constructive and creative lines.
The Minister asked the teachers to innovate and devise appropriate methods of communication and activities relevant to modern technology at global level, adding that teachers can revolutionize the system by their missionary zeal and zest.
Mr. Malik urged upon the teachers to contribute through their vigorous efforts in the field of education in the State. He said the bestway to pay rich tributes to Master Karam Chand is by following his foot steps in the noble profession of education.
Principal Karan Vidya Education Trust also spoke on the occasion and lauded the services of Master Karam Chand in the field of education to the society.
Later, the students who performed in the cultural programme were presented mementos.
