| KP’s to observe holocaust day on Jan 19 | | Sagir’s report at variance with people’s aspirations: ASKPC | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 9- Expressing serious concern over the recent political developments in the state in the wake of Working Group report on Centre-State Relations and the consequent statement of Chief Minister urging centre for a dialogue on the report especially on autonomy issue, All Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC), in a meeting presided over by R.K.Raina, Senior Vice President, said ‘this does not augur well for the minority community of the State and other nationalist forces.’ The ASKPC pointed out that the Working Group Report, a litany of the election manifesto of the National Conference, has been submitted without any regard to the suggestions presented by other members of the Working Group. The report is completely at variance with the general aspirations of the people of the State and particularly the discriminated sections of the society, ASKPC said and rejected any move which has potential to strain constitutional relationship of Jammu and Kashmir State with the rest of India. ASKPC leadership endorsed its support to the recently constituted amalgam of frontline KP organizations which decided to observe the Holocaust Day on January 19, 2010 jointly. On this day, a massive protest demonstration would be organized. The members of the community are requested to participate in the Holocaust Day joint program, the details of which will be announced by the leadership shortly, the ASKPC said and added that ASKPC leader A N Vaishnavi and H.L.Chatta are presently on an organizational tour of Uttrakahand State. . It also demanded that the promises made by the government over the last three years regarding economic package of the Prime Minister be implemented immediately without any conditions, besides enhancement of relief to Rs.10000 per month per family before Shivratri festival .
