| ABGMS appeals for unity among Gujjars, Paharies | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 9- Terming the infighting between Gujjars and Paharies a well thought out and deliberate attempt by some vested interests to divide both the communities, Akhil Bhartiya Gujjar Mahasabha J&K chapter, at a meeting presided by Eshfaq-Ur-Rehman Poswal, has cautioned the leaders of both the communities to remain united and not to fall prey to the machinations of vested interests.
Poswal said the only purpose of the vested interests is to divide the two communities having sizeable population to grind their own axis and cautioned the leaders of both the communities to beware of hidden agenda of the enemy. He further emphasized that call of the hour is to remain united as both are living in similar geographical, social and economical hardship. ‘It is well said that politicians thrive by divide and rule but we should not fall prey to their fabricated bait’, he said. He appealed to all leaders of both the communities to fight for their common justice and rights in unison because divided we fall united we stand.
Prominent active members of the Sabha who attended the meeting were Abdul Rashid, Isa Namberdar, Abdul Aziz and Ghulam Abas.
