Soz demands probe in Dalgate killing

Jammu, Jan 9- JKPCC President Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz has strongly condemned the killing of teenager Inayat Khan at Dalgate and also expressed his shock over an attempt on the life of a Greater Kashmiri photo journalist Amman Farooq.

In a statement issued to press here today, Prof Soz has urged the state administration to initiate a high level enquiry into these incidents. He said the Congress Party is committed of zero tolerance to human rights violations.

He said while the law and order enforcing agencies, including Para forces and J&K Police, have done commendable work in containing terrorists’ activities in the state, there are elements in such agencies who do not understand that innocent lives have to be protected at all costs, he added. I urge the J&K State administration to institute a high-level enquiry into incidents involving innocent persons”, he said and condemned the terrorist attack in Lal Chowk.
