Ajaz vows to develop constituency as model town

Jammu January 10: Minister for R&B, Mr. G.M.Saroori on second leg of his two days tour to Reasi district, along with the Minister of State for Hajj, Auqaf and Fisheries (Independent Charge), Mr. Aijaz Ahmad Khan, today, while addressing a public gathering at Gool-Arnas said that coalition Government has initiated several measures to provide all the basic amenities to the people of the State. The Minister sought public cooperation in taking forward the development programme initiated by the Government in various sectors.

Both the minister also inaugurated plus polio campaign with administering plus polio drops to the children at Budhan Dispensary in Gool area.

Mr. Saroori said that inter regional road connectivity would be given priority to make easy people to ensure easy accessibility top the people, adding that it would boost trade and economy at gross root level. He said that inter-district and inter-regional road connectivity would not only improve the socio economic status of the people, but also help in development of other sectors , particularly, trade and tourism sector, which are viable source of generating employment avenues.


Saroori grieved over Kishtwar snow avalanche incident

Jammu January 10: Minister for R&B, Mr.G.M.Saroori has expressed grief and sorrow over the loss of four precious lives in a snow avalanche incident occurred at Plarhiyed in Kishtwar district.

Mr. Saroori instructed district administration to launch rescue operation on war footing so that the bodies are recovered at an earliest.

Extending sympathies with the affected families, Mr. Saroori said that every effort is being made to recover the bodies buried under the avalanche. He directed Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar to monitor the rescue operation and remain in touch with the effected families besides providing them necessary relief.
