Jammu, Jan 10 A Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM) militant was arrested from Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur district, police said.
Acting on a tip-off, police raided a house in Basantgarh belt of Udhampur district last night and arrested Hizb militant Abdul Noorani alias Haider, a police officer said.
He was involved in various militant activities, including killing, kidnapping, arson and use of arms and explosive material, the officer said, adding a dozen of cases have been registered against him.
The militant was booked under Public Safety Act (PSA) and has been sent to jail for two years, the officer added.
