Jammu 10- Rejecting re-organization of Jammu and Kashmir Pahari Cultural and Welfare Forum by some self styled Pahari speaking political leaders the Chairman of the Forum Sharafat Ali Khan said that the Forum today expressed full faith in his leadership.
Addressing media persons here at Press Club today, Sharafat said Syed Mushtaq Bukhari who addressed the press on January 7 as newly elected Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Pahari Cultural and Welfare Forum was a self-styled Chairman and was not elected genuinely and constitutionally.
Sharafat said all records pertaining to Jammu and Kashmir Pahari Cultural and Welfare Forum including its registration, constitution and other related documents are with him. He said that the organization was not dissolved and no election was held in the organization since last year and he (Sharafat) is the real Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Pahari Cultural and Welfare Forum.
Khan said that some leaders including Mushtaq Bukhari were ‘power hungry’ and time and again they have created chaos and confusion among the Pahari speaking people and they are only projecting themselves before government for their own gains.
The Chairman stressed that the Forum under his leadership was working for the larger interest of the community and not for any personal gains or for grabbing power from the government. He cleared that Forum has been supporting the government and is still with Omar Sahib waiting for his commitments which he made with Paharis during the elections of 2008/2009.
