| PK holds executive council meet | | Chrungoo criticizes Centre for pursuing ineffective political process | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 10- President Panun Kashmir Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo has said that the security scenario of Jammu and Kashmir State is fast deteriorating due to the wrong policies of the government. While the Pakistan remains engaged in war tactics against India and has kept on sending trained terrorists to destabilize our country, India continues to pursue ineffective political processes, he added. Addressing special executive council meeting here today Chrungoo said that there have been increased terrorist violence and border incursions ever since the government withdrew troops from the State. Asserting that accession of Kashmir with the rest of India is full and final for Kashmiri Pandits, he reiterated the Panun Kashmir demand for a separate homeland in the valley of Kashmir as per the Margdarshan resolution. The executive council meeting was held to deliberate upon the current socio-political scenario and the forthcoming program on January 19, 2010, the Holocaust Day being observed jointly with other KP organizations of the recently constituted amalgam. Commandant (Retd), BSF inaugurated the meeting. Virender Raina, National Spokesperson said that the political leadership of the state is behaving in a partisan manner and the proposals like autonomy, self rule, double currency and withdrawal of troops are all measures that are meant to appeal a specific vested interest in Jammu and Kashmir State. R.K.Raina, Senior Vice President, ASKPC stressed the need of unified action and emphasized that the struggle in exile needs a collective response. The struggle of Kashmiri Pandits has entered a crucial phase and all Kashmiri Pandit organizations need to close their ranks and support the community’s political cause in one voice. Sanjay Kaul, who was felicitated on the occasion by R.K.Raina in appreciation of his services to the community during the period of exile, thanked PANUN KASHMIR for giving him recognition and said that the unity path adopted by the frontline organizations of the community was a welcome development. Dr. Rajan Kotru, a community activist and noted environmental scientist based at Kathmandu was also honored on the occasion for his contributions globally to the cause of environmental protection and good governance.
