| Suspected ISI agent exfiltrates to PoK | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 11: A border-crosser, who was released from jail last year, again exfiltrated to Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) early today from the border Dheri area of Mendhar in Poonch.
Mohammad Irshad, son of Lal Hussain of Sakhi Maidan, Mendhar, had earlier crossed over to PoK in 2000. He infiltrated into Indian territory from Nowshera in Rajouri in 2007 after spending seven years in different PoK areas. Police sources said soon after sneaking into Nowshera, he had surrendered before police, who had taken him to a "safe house" and put him to sustained interrogation. He was later sent to jail by a court. He was released by the court in November last year. Sources said he went to his relative, Talib Hussain's house at Dheri, situated close to the Line of Control (LoC) in Mendhar, Friday last. After spending three days with Talib and his family, he exfiltrated to PoK at about 3 am today, the sources added. Sources said as he had gone to PoK within two months of his release from the jail, it seemed as if he was working for the Pakistan's ISI. Talib was also questioned, but he did not know anything about his links with militants, if any, the sources added.
