Nirankari Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj delivered the objects of universe to over 2 lakh sants at a Vishal Samagam Sant Samagum function held at Parade Ground here today.
Member Parliament Ch. Lal Singh, Mayor JMC Ch. Manmohan Singh, Deputy Mayor JMC Mr. Dharamvir Singh Jamwal, MLA Mr. Ajay Sadhotra, Corporators, Prominent Citizens, Sants Jagmohan Choudhary (Zonal Incharge, J&K), Kuldeep Singh, Ram Mehta, Tej Bhan, Dr. V. S. Manhas, Brig. Shamsher Singh, General Secretary Govind Singh and Ajeet Singh were also present on the occasion.
Delivering the sermons, Maharaj ji exhorted that if the 'Company and Sewa' of saints are done for the sake of worldly desires, it is like preferring glass beads to precious gems. He added that constant reflection on the ideas, feelings, precepts and the philosophical thoughts of Ultimate Truth imparted by the saint is what is meant by "Company' and the assimilation of these in life is his true 'Sewa'. He emphasized that if the company and 'Sewa' of saints are done with the pure motive of God realization the devotees bound to experience spiritual upliftment in accordance with his individual spiritual state and the intensity of Sadhna and shall certainly attain the supreme and ultimate goal-God realization.
Baba Ji said that Sant Nirankari Mission is a global spiritual movement cutting across all religious, cultural, economic and social diversities. It is a systematic way of life based on devotion to God after knowing the formless one. Satguruji said that the mission endeavours to establish universal brotherhood through granting the perception of the Supreme Father---God, in every human being. The formless God is the sole creator, nurturer and destroyer of this visible universe and He is worth knowing. He stated that mission is convinced that it is only through God realization that the fulfillment of human life is achieved adding that the one who reveals the eternal truth i.e. God is the True Master (Satguru) and one who after perceiving the formless God-Nirankar in every particle of the universe remembers him all the time everywhere in all circumstances, remains in the company of saints of humanity is a Nirankari.
Nirankari Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj narrated at length the tales on Holy Scriptures and Vedanta and advised the sants to sincerely surrender all one's belongings to the Lord side by side taking a great care that you do not develop a sense of 'Egotism'. It is none other than the Lord who is operating through the nature and every event is taking place in accordance with his will. Then why should one disturb the calmness of ones mind with unnecessary wants and desires. 'Why grieve unnecessarily and for whom? Happiness becomes a natural companion of one who discharges his duties having surrendered all possessions to the Holy feet of the Lord. Make it a habit to spend each and every moment of your life in contemplation of attaining salvation. Your life will remain a subject to the Vagaries of sorrow and happiness so long as the body exists. Don't ever allow them to get an edge over you; just let them pass by and instead remain contended in the 'Self Bliss'.
Satguruji stated that the Sant Nirankari Mission believes in the universal truth that while the formless one pervades every particle of the universe, he is the same time distinct from all that is visible. The entire visible universe is Maya i.e. illusion and is subject to change; thus unlike God the whole universe is not permanent, eternal or immutable. He divulged that the supreme entity that remains permanent, eternal and the same even despite the ephemeral nature of the material universe made by five elements is the Formless God. God though formless is worth realizing and can be realized as a matter of fact the ultimate aim of human life is to realize God. The true master or Satguru is the embodiment of the Formless God that works through a physical form. Satguru is not the physical body but the divine knowledge that flows through the same. He said that Satguru is not bound by any particular caste or religion. As a matter of fact, Satguru manifests himself for the whole of humanity and emancipates the mankind through divine knowledge.
Satguruji said that in the Sant Nirankari Mission, a saint is one who has already realized God and the company of such God-realised persons is the company of saints (satsang). He said that mission considers the company of saints a means to strength the divine traits such as love, respect and humility.
Babaji said that ordinarily devotion is considered a means to realize God, whereas the mission believes that devotion to God is truly meaningful only after knowing and realizing God. Satguruji narrated that Sant Nirankari Mission is presenting a beautiful picture of unity in diversity. It is collecting different flowers of civilizations, cultures and faiths into a single bouquet of humanity. In other words, the mission is a living expression of the saying that religion unites and never divides. The realization of the one Supreme Father-God, leads us spontaneously to universal brotherhood. All our differences vanish automatically and love and compassion take the place of hatred and animosity. The Mission believes that there is no way to bring about universal brotherhood without realizing the fatherhood of one universal God. The Mission endeavours today to bring about unity and universal brotherhood through this principle. The spirit of universal brotherhood eliminates the possibility of conflicts in the matter of various efforts being made for the development and welfare of the mankind.
Addressing the devotees, Member Parliament Ch. Lal Singh praised the efforts of Sant Nirankari Mission in bringing about unity of mankind and universal brotherhood under the divine blessings of Satguru Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj.
Sant Samagum was also addressed by Sants H. S. Chawlaji, R. S. Charak, Dr. V. S. Manhas and Gobind Singh and asked the devotees to follow the path of Satguru Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj. .
