| Cong for equitable development of three regions of the state : SOZ | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 11 Reiterating its commitment to ensure unity and equitable development of all the three regions of the state, Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) President and former Union Minister Prof Saifuddin Soz said that party has always stood for the same. This was stated by Soz while addressing a public rally at Majalata in Udhampur district today. Lashing out at the politics of communalism and divisiveness, PCC president said that Congress party under the leadership under Sonia Gandhi has an agenda for the unity and integrity of the country based on its secular principles and policies and is committed to work for welfare and upliftment of the common people of the country. He said that only Congress is capable and marching on the path of safety and unity of the country and parties like Bhartiya Janta Party lacks vision and agenda for overall development of the nation. Prof Soz said that UPA government under the leadership of Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh is extending all out support and help to the coalition government in the state in order to ensure aover all development and progress of all parts of the state. He praised the leadership of Sonia Gandhi who has emerged as a great leader of the world and has the clear guidelines for all the partymen to dedicate themselves for the service of common people. The PCC Chief called upon the Congress Ministers in coalition government to reach out to the masses at the grass root level and address their problems irrespective of caste, creed, religion or region. Assuring the gathering, Prof Soz said that their demands of establishment of Degree College and ITI would be taken up at the government level and asked the ministers present to look into the other demands raised by the locals. He also assured the gathering that the demands of hand pumps and water tankers in the area would be fulfilled and if there is paucity of funds same would be provided from his Member of Parliament’s Local Area Development Fund. Calling upon the party workers to unitedly make stronger the organization at all levels, PCC Chief said this way the hands of party leadership will be strengthened. Minister for Technical and Medical Education RS Chib, Minister for Health Sham Lal Sharma and Minister for Revenue Raman Bhalla also spoke on the occasion and laid stress on strengthening the party. Others who attended rally and addressed the gathering include former Deputy Chief Minister Mangat Ram Sharma, Dharam Pal Sharma, senior Vice President, Vice Presidents Yash Pal Khajuria, Thakur Hari Singh, Ghulam Nabi Monga and Ravinder Sharma, MLC and Spokesperson of the party.
