| Create congenial atmosphere before inviting investors: Chaman to CM | | ‘Saghir’s Report bound to add communal, regions tensions’ | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 11- Asserting that missing of industrial growth is the major cause of ever increasing unemployment in Jammu and Kashmir, the leader of the BJP Legislators Party, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta has asked the Chief Minister and other concerned to create congenial atmosphere first before asking the investors including the Pravasi Bharties to invest in State. To this end, he said that it was essential to demolish the barriers between this State and rest of India enshrined in the Article 370. Addressing a meeting of the party activists of Talab Tillo here, Prof. Gupta observed that there are several reasons for increasing unemployment but the major one is the virus of secessionism coupled with the religious fundamentalism leading to violence and terrorism. For overcoming these problems, the situation needed a clear cut policy based upon national outlook to tackle the root causes but it was unfortunate that instead of mending their ways, the ruling leaders of the coalition, especially those of the National Conference are talking about restoration of pre-1953 status under the slogans of Autonomy and also those of Self Rule as if they have no self Government and ruling dispensation, he added. Castigating the Report of Justice (Retd) Sagir Ahmed, the BJP leader said that it was part of manipulations and obnoxious designs which are bound to add communal and regional tensions. Instead of any peace and good will, this ill-conceived document has added fuel to the fire which would help none but to the elements hostile to the unity and sovereignty of India in Jammu and Kashmir. Referring to the Employment Policy recently announced by the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, Prof. Gupta described it just a crude attempt to wriggle out of the loud promises which the leaders of the Congress and those of the National Conference had made to provide at least one job to each family and grant of subsistence allowance to the unemployed youths. But the scheme of things announced, especially about the sustenance allowance, is a cruel joke with the unemployed youths. The BJP leader also assailed the Congress led UPA Government at the Centre and the coalition of the State for sky-rocketing prices and alleged that this was the result of the machinations of certain ruling leaders and failure in ensuring proper arrangements for providing rations at the out lets. He asked the activists to organize a strong public opinion against the moves of the ruling leaders particularly the designs for weakening ties between this part of the country with the rest of India as the State has not come out of the wood which was the result of undemocratic and communal approach adopted by the National Conference-Congress Coalition in 1987-89. Mandal President Pushpa Wazir, Corporator Chander Mohan Gupta, Rakesh Gupta and Sanjay Baru also took part in the deliberations.
