Bar chief fears threat to Indian sovereignty in J&K

Jammu , Jan 12: Strongly condemning the statement of PDP president Mehbooba Mufti for irrelevant of Indo-Pak borders, Sunil Sethi, president, Bar Association Jammu (BAJ) termed the Mehbooba’s demand of irrelevant borders anti-national.
Talking to media persons here today, Sethi alleged that Mehbooba Mufti and other Kashmiri leaders spitting venom by making such statements and if they contuine making such statements it will be very difficult for them to enter Jammu as Jammuites will not tolerate such statements.
He said that recent incursion by China on India territory, attempts of infiltrations, seize fire violation and now Justice Saghir Ahmed Report were creating alarming situation in Jammu and Kashmir which may break J&K and challenge Indian sovereignty.
Sethi appealed the Central Govt to take strong action on these statements, anti-national activists. He however said that Centre’s attitude on these issues gave uneasy feeling that Govt of India wanted to show to some section of the International Community that it is willing to dilute the India position on J&K
Commenting on the recommendations of Working Group, BAJ president said this report is completely sellout the interest of nationalistic forces of J&K.
He said that full integration of J&K with India by abolishing Article 370 can solve all the problem of J&K. He demanded that security forces should be strengthen and given free hand to deal with terrorism.
Sethi warned the Central Govt against the implementation of the recommendation mabe by Justice Saghir Ahmed otherwise this lead to the serious consequences.
