BJYM celebrate Swami Vivekanand’s birthday

Jammu, Jan 12- State Unit of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), under its president Pawan Khajuria, today organized a function to celebrate the 147th birthday of Swami Vivekanand. The party leaders garlanded the statue of Swami Vivekanand at Vivekanand Chowk.
Jammu East MLA Ashok Khajuria, who was also present on the occasion, said that Swami Vivekanand worked throughout his life to spread the message of brotherhood, humanism, morality and Hinduism not only in India but across the globe. He said the whole life of Swami Vivekanand is full of teachings which are even more relevant in the present day times. He said the present situation in the state needs to strengthen the patriotic forces for giving befitting reply to anti-national elements and unite the nationalist forces and added that each one of us should read the literature carrying the nationalist ideology of Swami Vivekanand. He said Swami Vivekanand openly opposed the caste system and advocated equality among all sections of the society. He pointed out that India is the only country in the world which has the honour of being the birth place of a number of great leaders, saints, monks and social reformers and Swami ji was on of them.
BJYM State President Pawan Khajuria exhorted the party activists to spare few moments from their daily schedule to get them- selves acquainted with the philosophy and the path shown by great son of India, Swami Vivekanand. He said today’s youth has deviated from the social values and it is important that we take inspirations from the life of Swami Vivekanand.
Yudhvir Sethi, Rajesh Gupta, Munish Sharma, Narotam Sharma, Vijay Choudhary, Surinder Choudhary, Sanjay Baru, Vikrant Singh, Parimoksh Seth, Sanjay Khajuria, Ramesh Sharma, Ashwani Sharma, Surinder Bhagat, Adarsh Bhagat, Gulshan Mahajan, Subash Sharma, Raj Kumar and Anil Masoom were prominent among those who also garlanded the statue of Swami Vivekanand.
