| Zulfikar asks people to foil designs of vested interests | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Rajouri, Jan12- Expressing grave concern over war of words between leaders of Pahari speaking people and Gujjars, senior leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and MLA Darhal Choudhary Zulfikar Ali today asked the people to remain united and frustrate designs of those vested interests who are hell bent to disturb peace in the state.
Addressing a public meeting at Budhal in Rajouri, Choudhary Zulfikar said that some vested interests have been trying to divide people in the name of Paharis and Gujjars to accomplish their evil designs. He said that those who are raking up such emotive issues were trying to hoodwink the people.
Calling upon the people to remain united and face challenges of such vested interests, MLA Darhal said that instead of giving response to the acts of these elements the need of the hour was to work unitedly for the overall development of the state. He further pointed out that keeping in view the backwardness of Poonch and Rajouri districts, it was important for all people to unitedly work for the up liftment of this region. He also urged upon the people to frustrate designs of those who have been creating divide among the masses on ethnic lines.
