| JJSF activists protest against WG Report, burnt effigy of Justice Saghir | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Jan 12- Jammu Joint Students Federation (JJSF) held a protest demonstration at MAM College and Shaheedi Sthal in Canal Road, Jammu against the WG report on centre-state relations.
In MAM College the protest was led by Thakur Varinder Singh, President, MAM College, Davinder Singh Vice President. All the activists gathered at College Ground and Thakur where they were addressed by Varinder Singh. The students, later, burnt the effigy of Justice Saghir Ahmed.
JJSF activists of GGM Science College also held a protest demonstration against the Report at Shaheedi Sthal in Canal Road. Partap Singh Jamwal State Vice President, Sahil Choudhary President and Abhay Sharma Vice President of Science College Unit led the protestors.
Speaking on the occasion the JJSF leaders described the Report as anti-Jammu and warned that it would not allow its implementation till the Delimitation commission was constituted in the state and the most dangerous recommendation on ‘Autonomy’ was not dropped from the report.
JJSF leaders urged upon the State and Centre Government to out rightly reject the report and also came down heavily on the Congress party for adopting silence over much controversial report. They also burnt the effigy of Justice (Retd) Saghir Ahmed.
Among others who took part in the protest demonstration included Anil Sharma President, Akhnoor Tehsil, Sumit Mangotra Tehsil Secretary, JJSF, Davinder Singh Block President, Rohit Wali President, Minority Community, Jyoti Choudhary, Vishal Bhat, Sunil Rajput President, GCET College, Dushant Jamwal Vice President, GCET, Tushar Raina, Dixit Sharma, Rahil Rajput and Sunny Sharma.
