| General line Teachers repatriated to ReT | | HC directs to maintain status-quo | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Jan12- In a petition challenging the repatriation of 75 general line teachers as ReTs at the behest of concerned Minister, Justice Nisar Ahmed Kakru of Jammu and Kashmir High Court Jammu Wing issued notice to State of J&K through Commissioner /Secretary Education, Director School Education Jammu, Joint Director Education Jammu, CEO Kathua and ZEO, ordered for maintaining status quo as on date in respect of the position of the petitioners till next of hearing. In the petition filed by Mohan Singh & Ors, who were engaged as ReT teachers submitted that after completion of five years of continuance service to the satisfaction of the officials they were regularized by a Government order and transferred in different schools of District Kathua. It was further submitted that Joint Director, Directorate of School Education Jammu repatriated 75 teachers to ReTs vide order dated December 29, on the directions of the Minister concerned 2009 who were regularized and were serving in the different schools as general line teacher. The petitioners sought Court directions restraining the official respondents from implementing the impugned order till disposal of the main petition and also seeking quashment of the order if any made by the concerned minister or in pursuance to the direction of the concerned minister.
