Jammu, Jan 12 - Lohri festival was celebrated in the premises of SRML Jammu by the students and staff of the school with great enthusiasm and fervour. A colourful function was presented by the students of the school. A group of students presented a traditional Lohri song which was applauded by one and all
Speaking to the gathering of students and staff the Principal of the institution, J K Sudan spoke at length about the historical aspect of the festival. He emphasized that main purpose of celebrating such festivals in school is to send message of love, friendship and oneness among the students of different communities. The students lit the fire and danced with the beats of the Dhol. Later the sweets were distributed among the students.
