| Divisional Commissioner Jammu Mr. Parmod Jain discussing arrangements made by the health authority to prevent Dengue at a senior officers meeting at Jammu. | | Div Com discusses arrangements made by health authority to prevent Dengue | | JAMMU, OCTOBER 08 Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Mr. Parmod Jain chaired a high level meeting of senior officers to discuss the arrangements made by health authorities to prevent Dengue, a viral fever caused by biting of mosquito and its preventive measures. Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Mr. Hirdesh Kumar Singh, Director Health Services, Medical Superintendent Mr. Vinod Gupta, State Malaria Officer Mr. Farooq Ahmed Tak, Health Officer, Mr. K. D. Singh and other officers attended the meeting. Speaking on the occasion Mr. Jain said that the dengue was not deadly if detected in time. He said J&K State was not affected by dengue but apprehensions of imported cases of dengue through 25 lakh belt force and 75 lakh pilgrims around the country could not be ruled out. He asked the health authorities to start spraying fog in rural as well as urban areas. He stated that all pocket of Jammu city would be covered by the end of October. He requested the citizens to adhere to prevention measures and cooperate with the administration. Any person feeling the Dengue disease shall report and consult the hospital authority for medical treatment.
