| Rich tributes paid to Th. Baldev Singh Chib | | |

To mark the 85th birth anniversary of Thakur Baldev Singh Chib, former President of the State Amar Khashitriya Rajput Sabha and a noted social figure , rich tributes were paid to Th. Baldev Singh Chib and recalled his services for the upliftment of downtrodden people particularly 1947 refugees. They described late Chib as a great secular and social leader.
Minister for Medical Education, Technical Education, Youth Services and Sports, Mr. R. S. Chib presided over the function.
Those who spoke and highlighted different aspects of the life of late leader include S Jaswant Singh, Th. Ravi Singh, S. Sobha Singh, S. Jagat Singh, S. Suchet Singh, Mr. des Raj Tiyagi, Ch. Mohinder Singh, Corporators of Jammu Municipal Corporation, members of Municipal Committee, R. S. Pura, Sarpanchs, Panchs and other prominent people.
Minister for Medical Education in his address greeted the people of the State in general and people of R. S. Pora tehsil in particular on the eve of Lohri festival. .
Describing his brother, Mr. Baldev Singh Chib as a torch bearer of unity and brotherhood, Mr. Chib said that late Baldev Singh devoted his whole life for the well being of common masses. He said late Baldev lived a simple life was above the barriers of caste, creed and colour. His life is a source of inspiration for me, the Minister added.
Chib appealed the people to work for strengthening the secular fabric and national unity and integrity of the country.
