| Visiting Assam students interact with GOC White Knight Corps | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 13- Indian Army has been regularly organizing educational and national integration tours for the children of under developed regions of the country to expose them to the progress and development being made by the nation. As part of these efforts Army under “Op Sadbhavana” conducted a fortnight long education tour for children of Goalpara district of Assam to Jammu from January 9, 2010. During the tour a group of 18 students and two teachers will be visiting Jammu, Nagrota, Akhnoor and Rajouri. Earlier, the students visited Rashtrapati Bhavan, National Sports complex and Lotus Temple. GOC 16 Corps Lt Gen Rameshwar Roy interacted with members of the tour here today and exhorted the students to be role models for development in their respective villages and districts. He further brought out that, while enjoying the picturesque natural beauty the state, the students should imbibe the spirit of “Unity in Diversity” from the state of J&K. The children were extremely enthusiastic about the tour, having been out of the boundaries of their home districts for the first time.
