| CET Exams: 2 Bihari imposters among 3 arrested by Jammu police | | | Jammu, July 22 : Jammu Police today arrested two persons from Bihar who were caught allegedly while appearing in 'Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test Examination' in place of two Jammu based students.
Sources said that two persons from Bihar landed into police custody when they were arrested by police from G.G.M Science College where they had gone to appear in the Common entrance test examination in place of two students of Jammu division.
Eye witness said that in the morning when the students entered their classes to appear in examination. The invigilator of the examination notices some suspicious moments of the duo. "They were asked to show their identification which they failed to show, the matter was reported to the higher authorities and both of them were handed over to police deployed for the examination duty" eye witness added .
Identified as Umesh and Santosh of Bihar were reportedly introduced by two mediators Jatender Sigh Jamwal the owner of Carrier Guide and Vikram Chowdhary of Sainik colony with the two aspirants.
It was reliably learnt that the two aspirants who were latter identified as Ashish Kumar Gupta of Rajouri and Haresh Singh Jamwal of Jammu had paid a hefty amount to the mediators to get through in examination.
Police has arrested aspirant Ashish Kumar, mediator Jatender singh after they were identified by the two arrestees. Mediator Vikram Choudhry and aspirant Haresh Singh Jamwal were absconding. When, contacted SSP Jammu, Mukesh Singh confirmed the arrest and said that the hunt for others involved in the scam was going on. |
