| R-Day celebration arrangements discussed at Ramnagar | | | Sarita Jamwal
Udhampur JAN 14: Arrangements to celebrate Republic Day function-2010 in a befitting manner at Tehsil Ramnagar of Udhampur district were discussed at a meeting of officers of various departments held under the chairmanship of Tehsildar, Ramnagar, Mr. Sanjeev Sharma here today.
It was decided In the meeting that the Republic Day function would be held at Government Higher Secondary School, Ramnagar where the chief guest would hoist the National flag at 9.55 AM followed by march past by the contingents of NCC and school children of various educational institutions. Cultural programmes by school students would also be presented on the occasion.
The meeting also held threadbare discussions on various arrangements related to the smooth conduct of the function like seating, barricading, drinking water and power supply, sanitation, first- aid, security, and transport and traffic regulations.
The Tehsildar urged upon the officers concerned for ensuring better coordination and making effective arrangements pertaining to their departments. He also said that the students excelling in the academic and sports activities would be awarded on the occasion.
