Bhalla inaugurates bathing ghat, lays foundation of sewerage project- Gangyal

JAMMU, OCTOBER 08
Saying that the coalition government is determined to provide basic amenities to all the people and equal development of all the three regions of the state.
This was stated by MLA Gandhinagar Mr. Raman Bhalla while laying the foundation stone of the sewerage project at Gangyal. The project would be completed at an estimated cost of Rs.15 lakh.
Mr Bhalla said that it was long pending demand of the people for providing fool proof sewerage system in the area which would be fulfilled on its completion. He divulged that people have had to face a lot of inconvenience as the Nallahas and drains create havoc during the rainy season.
Earlier, MLA also inaugurated the bathing ghat in the locality. He said that similar projects are in the pipelines and as soon as these received clearance the work would commence soon.
He said that state government under the dynamic stewardship of Chief Minister, Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad has been providing balanced development of all the three regions of the state and have received accolades from all sections of the society.
He said that Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and the AICC President, Mrs Sonia Gandhi have visited Jammu and Kashmir during the natural calamities occured in the State and provided assistance to the affected populace.
Mr Bhalla said that Rs.30 lakh has been spent for installation of hand-pumps in the area while more tube-wells and over-head tanks would be constructed to augment drinking water system in the area.
He also appealed the youth to channelise their energies in the right direction and foil the designs of unscrupulous elements in order to safeguard the integrity of the nation.
He said that this year Vaishno Devi Yatra has surpassed all the previous records besides government made arrangements for successful holy Navratras at Katra and other parts of the Jammu region and as a result of it economy of the state has received boost.
Among those accompanied the MLA include Corporators Mr Satish Sharma and Chowdhary Dewarka.
