| GGPEP organize awareness programme | | Solar Eclipse | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 14: An awareness camp on solar eclipse was organized at Govt middle school, RS Pura by global green peace and environmental protection (GGPEP) today.
Resources persons apprise the students cause of solar or lunar eclipse. They said solar eclipse occurs where moon cross in front of sun, but it is too small to cover the sun fully, the result is eclipse. In this type of eclipse, a ring or annules like golden bangles, of photosphere is visible around the disk of the moon. With a portion of visible photosphere it will never be complete dark and we cannot see the diamond ring, chromospheres solar prominences and corona, as we see in case of total solar eclipse.
Awareness campaign was inaugurated by Satnam Kour, Zonal Education planning officer.
Devinder Choudhary thanked to all the guests and students who actively participated in the programmed.
