| Kashmir sex scandal final order regarding the bail pleas today | | |
CHANDIGARH Oct 8 A court here will decide on October 9 on the bail plea of 13 people accused of being involved in a sex scandal case that rocked Jammu and Kashmir. District and Sessions Judge B.S. Mehndiratta on Tuesday heard arguments of the prosecution and defence on the bail plea of the 13 accused who are lodged in the Burail prison here. The final order regarding the bail pleas will be pronounced on October 9. Only one accused, Iqbal Mohammed Khandey, a principal secretary to former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed, is currently on bail. The case was shifted here from Srinagar last month following a Supreme Court order after the Jammu and Kashmir Bar Association had passed a resolution not to defend any accused. |
