| Chib, Bhalla inspect play fields in city | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, JANUARY 15- Minister for Youth Services and Sports,Medical Education and Technical Education, Mr. R.S. Chib, accompanied by Minister for Relief, Revenue and Rehabilitation, Mr. Raman Bhalla and officers of Youth Services and Sports, visited Dusshera Grounds, Gandhi Nagar, Dr. Vijay Memorial Ground, Shastri Nagar and Green Field Ground, Gandhi Nagar and inspected the ongoing development works.
The Ministers were informed that Rs. 50 lakh are being spent on development of Green belt along the ground, toilet facilities and renovation of Youth Hostel in Dusshera Ground. Besides, Rs. 30 lakh are being spent on construction of walking path, bore-well and Basket Ball Court in Dr. Vijay Memorial Ground. Rs. 8 lakh are being spent on construction of toilet and Change Room for sports girls and construction of Borewell.
The Ministers also visited Bhor Camp and discussed the measures to be taken for construction of Stadium near Government Higher Secondary School.
They also visited sites for construction of two play fields at Chhani Himmat.
Later the Ministers visited Sunjwan and inspected a site of 30 kanals of land, located by the side of Government High School, for construction of a stadium.
The Ministers impressed upon the officers to speed up the development works on various play fields so that youth is facilitated.
Minister for Youth Services and Sports, Mr. R.S. Chib assured Mr. Bhalla that his Ministry,under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister, Mr. Omar Abdullah, is determined to provide a network of stadia and play fields in every nook and corner of the State.
Minister for Revenue, Mr. Raman Bhalla, while expressing his gratitude to Mr. Chib for evincing keen interest in formulating various projects in sports sector,said that his constituency would be benefitted on completion of the projects under execution.
Director General Youth Services and Sports, Mr. S.A. Leharwal Director Youth Services and Sports, Mr. G.M. Dar, Superintending Engineer, R&B, Executive Engineer, R&B, and other senior officers accompanied the Minister.
