| Employeement Mela Poonch concludes with hope | | Unemployeds suggested to start self employement units | |

The five days employement awareness mela organised by District Employement Office Poonch concluded at the border district on Friday with an impressive function organised by the concerned officials . The employed youth were told on the occasion by the government officials the government has several provisions and schemes under the newly announced Shere-Kashmir Employement package for creating and establishing self employement units .
Sources said, large number of people attended the final day function of the five days employement mela organised by employement department Poonch on Friday . The concluding day function was presided over by local MLA ,Ajaz Ahemd Jan whiule president local municipal committee Sardar Rajinder Singh was cheief guest on the occasion . Speaking on the occasion , MLA, said that the unemployed youth of the district should take the benefit from the newly announced employement scheme by the chief minister Omer Abdullah . He said Shere –Kashmir employement package/ scheme has many provisions for the unemployed youth and they should take benefit from them . He said there are more than 5 lakh unemployeds in the state of Jammu and Kashmir and no government can provide jobs to all and the only way left is to establish the self employement units and the government was ready to extend full help those who want to create jobs instead of seeking jobs . While appreciating the services of assistant director employement Poonch, Basharat Hussain Chowdhary, MLA said that this mela was successful only due to the personal efforts of the officer who personally made it a success . He said that such officers will be honoured with the rewards and he will take up the matter with the government in this regard .
His views were also endorsed by president municipal committee Poonch, Sardar Rajinder Singh while saying that Assistant director employement Poonch has has launched a personal campaign to make the event successful . He also appealed the government that such officers who are honest with their jobs desrve to be honoured and rewarded so that the rest of the non permers get an inspiration .
While giving the details of the event, assistant director Basharat Hussain Chowdhary said that during the past five days of the mela, the officers of various government departments and managers of the various banks informed thae people about the government schemes for the unemployed youth . He said that during this five days awareness campaign, the unemployed youth were asked to look for the self employement units for which the government has many provisions and schems of finance . He further said that the bank managers have also asked the youth to come farward and take the easy loans for the units they want to establish. Beside large number of the people from every corner of the border district, the finalday function was attended by all the district officers and prominent citizens .
