| 3 held for selling spurious ghee | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 15 : Three people were arrested for selling spurious ghee and on their disclosure a manufacturing unit was sealed in Kathua district of Jammu region, police here today said.
Based on specific information about the sale of sub-standard ghee in village Dayala Chak of tehsil Hiranagar in Kathua district, a police party yesterday conducted a raid and arrested two shopkeepers identified as Hardev Raj and Ramesh Kumar,’’ official sources said.
Around 70-kg spurious ghee was seized from two shops while on their disclosure, a manufacturing unit was raided and the owner Rajesh Kumar was also arrested.
‘’Over three quintals of fresh goods and raw material were seized from the unit while a case has been registered against them,’’ police added.
