| SAD terms WG report ‘biased, discriminatory’ | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 15- Shiromani Akali Bal National termed the WG report on Centre-State relations as totally ‘biased and discriminatory’ in respect of Jammu and Ladakh regions in general and particularly to Sikhs and displaced persons of 1947 from PoK. Addressing media persons here today, Gurdev Singh, working president flanked by Gurbachan Singh Dutta, President and Amrik Singh Advocate terming the report as a conspiracy said that “Quiet Diplomacy” is a part of it which is not acceptable to the displaced persons of 1947 from PoK and Sikh Community in particular. He further said that J&K being a border and economically weak state was granted special status under Article 370 of the Constitution of India for the up liftment of people of the state as a whole and minority communities in particular, but what has happened during past six decades to Jammu and Ladakh regions is well known and have been discriminated against and denied their due share of development, employment and in every sphere. He urged upon the Central Government not implement the report otherwise government shall be forced to face severe consequences. Amrik Singh termed the contents of the Sageer Ahmad report as biased and discriminatory ignoring the legitimate rights of displaced persons of 1947 from PoK. Raja Singh and Darbinder Singh Sarpanches, Amrik Singh Sathi, Tarlok Singh and Mohinder Singh were also present at the press conference.
