| Rajouri, Poonch people demand seat at quiet diplomacy table | | | Early Times Report Rajouri, Jan 15- Demanding participation in the ‘Quiet Diplomacy’ Rajouri Poonch People’s Welfare Forum (RPPWF) said that ‘No one will be allowed now to take us for a ride and therefore we want full participation in the dialogue and all such attempts, so that we may be able to put forward our view point effectively on the issue’. Addressing media persons here today, Tahir Khurshid Raina, President of the Forum while appreciating the initiative of dialogue for the peaceful resolution of J&K problem has demanded an effective participation of the representatives of lakhs of people of twin districts in any such effort initiated by the Central Government. “It’s a big chunk of population which should not be taken for granted in any such initiative aimed for the resolution of Kashmir problem”, he said and added appealed the people of Rajouri-Poonch to be united at this historical juncture and come out of their sectarian politics of Gujjar-Pahari conflict in the larger interest of the region. He condemned State and Central Governments for creating wedge between the two communities of the region and impressed upon it to create equal opportunities of career building for all communities of this neglected region of the State. Taking strong exception to some statements which appeared in cross section of Media for scrapping of special status granted to State of J&K by virtue of Art.370, Raina said, ‘we believe in the sanctity of Article 370 and even voice for its restoration to its originality’
