RaghuNath Bazaar traders thank CM , Jora for fest

Jammu, Jan 15- Raghunath Bazar Businessman Association has thanked Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Tourism Minister Nawang Rigjim Zora and MoS tourism Wani for organizing 3- day Raghunath Bazaar Ustav . The association has also commended the efforts put in by the Divisional Commissioner Jammu Pawan Kotwal, District Development Commissioner Jammu Manoj Kumar Diwedi and Director Tourism Jammu S M Sahni to make the celebrations a great success.
In a press statement issued here today Baldev Khullar president RBBA has hailed the announcement by the Divisional Commissioner to take effective steps to upgrade and develop the historical Raghunath Bazaar, to make it a model marketing place. He however emphasized the need for expediting the project of Raghunath Bazaar development, before the train reaches Katra to make good the loss to the business of Jammu city in general and that of Raghunath Bazaar in particular, which presently is the hub of pilgrims and tourists to the state. Khullar has demanded declaring historical Raghunath Bazaar as a tourists pilgrimage centre, on the lines of Katra town. The timing for keeping shops open in the bazaar should be unrestricted, to facilitated the tourists and pilgrims, Khullar has further demanded.
Khullar informed that the first phase of up gradation and beautification of bazaar has been completed with painting of the shutters and doors of shops in keeping with Dogra art design. The second phase of raising sheds in uniform pattern by all the shop is in progress.
The associations has also conveyed thanks to the JMC for maintaining cleanliness and sanitations of the bazaar and also the PDD, PHE, Traffic police and the district police for the arrangements made by them. The floriculture department did decorate the bazaar with flower beds and plants, while J&KTDC set up its stall to serve Dogra food.
