Coalition govt to change profile of J&K for better : Sarrori

Srinagar, January 16 – The State Government will ensure taking Jammu and Kashmir to new heights of development and prosperity. The NC-Congress government has already formulated development and welfare plans which are presently under implementation on various fronts.

This was stated by the Minister for R&B, Mr. G.M. Saroori while addressing a public meeting held here today. He said that central government is very keen to see J&K a prosperous and developed state but some elements are trying their best to weaken the coalition government by adopting various tactics. He said, however, their dream will never come true. Regarding development, he added that, various projects have been taken in hand in the state including Mughal Road and Rs. 400 crore would be utilized on the construction of tunnel between Vailoo and Kishtwar. He said that central government has made all possible measures to make the relations between India and Pakistan further better as India believes in dialogue process which is the only solution of all the problems and issues.

Addressing on the occasion, the senior congress leader and MLC, Mr. Abdul Gani Vakil cautioned the people against those vested interests who are trying to weaken the fabric of democracy and integrity. He said the coalition government will ensure equitable development of all the areas in the state adding that the government is implementing all its policies and programmes in the right perspective. Mr. Vakil said that officers of various departments should reactivate their agencies on the grass root level to address the problems of the people.
