| NGO accuses firm of negligence | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Jan 16
Saviour of Innocent Labourers, a Non-Government Organisation (NGO) alleged that negligence on part of the Met Trade India Pvt Ltd has led to a freak incident wherein two workers got burnt while executing a job in hand.
Addressing media persons here today, the Vice President of NGO Ram Paul Sharma blamed the management of Met Trade for the incident in the factory in which two employees namely Raju and Sham received burn.
Lambasting the management for deliberately causing the incident, Sharma alleged that the injured employees, who are struggling for life in the hospital, were the ordinary workers and not the actual technicians of the field they were handling at the time of incident.
He further alleged that they were picked up by the management with ulterior motives by force to work on an oil tank for heating up the oil filled in it with an electric heater which is otherwise the work of technically sound electrician.
Due to the lack of knowledge of the work, the tank burst and fire broke out in which the duo was caught, he added
Sharma demanded CBI inquiry into the incident and action against the management.
He also appealed to the district administration to come forward on the ground of humanity to compensate the burnt workers. |
