| Suspension of petty employees no answer to check road mishaps: JKMF | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 16- Jammu and Kashmir Milchar Front (JKMF) has expressed its serious concern over the frequent road accidents in erstwhile Doda district claiming precious lives.
In a statement issued here today the Front said that mere condolences and hospital visits by the Chief Minister or his colleagues or suspension of local and concerned government employees is quite insufficient and simply an eye wash. “No firm exercise in this regard has been initiated so far by the rulers of so called civil society’ and asked how low this irresponsible attitude will continue?
The Front further said that the corrupt practices by the licensing authorities and traffic police should be taken as very seriously and persons at the helm of affairs should be held accountable for such frequent road mishaps.
Effective co-ordination among the concerned high officials of the motor vehicle department, concerned district administration, traffic police, transporters and the reputed local public representatives can definitely provide a required strength to this priority management, the Front said.
Participation of public representatives in the vehicles fitness management of the state should be considered seriously in view of the prevailing situations, the statement added. |
