| Patwari gets bail | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan16- Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu JR Kotwal granted bail to Patwari Ganesh Pal Halqa Keso Manhasa District Samba and his agent Balwant Singh who were caught red handed by VOJ on January 12, 2010 while accepting illegal gratification of Rs 3000 from the complainant.
After hearing Chief Prosecuting Officer for the VOJ and Advocate AP Singh appearing for applicants, the Court observed that applicants are in Vigilance custody for the last four days, sufficient time for doing the investigation. In face of the allegation against the accused persons, no sufficient ground for refusal of bail to them exists at this stage. The prayer for bail is accepted and both the applicants are admitted to bail. They shall be released on their furnishing personal bonds in the amount of Rs. 10,000 each along with surety in the like amount, Court ordered. JNF |
