| BJP stages protest against ‘Chinese incursions’ | | |

Hundreds of BJP activists held protest demonstration against the moves of China of occupying substantial chunks of land along Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh region in Jammu and Kashmir.
The protestors led by Rajesh Gupta, Distt. President Jammu, holding placards took out a protest procession from BJP headquarters at Kachi Chawni towards Parade Chowk. The BJP activists were however obstructed by the Police which attempted to prevent them to stage protest procession due to the Sec 144 imposed in city limits.
The police also attempted to stop the BJP activists to torch the effigy of UPA Govt.
Speaking on the occasion, Jammu East MLA Ashok Khajuria said It’s matter of serious concern that China has occupied ‘substantial’ area of land in Ladakh region of J&K.
He said Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and every inch of its land is sacred. He said that silent attitude of our Union Govt over Chinese repeated involvement in Indian matters viz incursion, granting special viza to the people of J&K on separate sheet, protesting against the visit of Dalai Lama to Arunchal Pradesh and its recent conduct of occupying substantial’ patches of land along Line of Actual Control.
Distt. President Rajesh Gupta, on this occasion, said had the Government of India taken the last month’s intrusion by Chinese army men in Ladakh seriously, this new development would have not taken place. Indian government’s soft approach towards China has encouraged this neighbouring country to take anti-India decisions”, he alleged. He asked the Congress-led UPA to wake up and take the matter seriously. He also asked the Union government to wake up and deal with China with firm hand before the things get more worsened.
Shiv Kumar Gupta, Jaideep Sharma, Kuldeep Magotra, Rajinder Sharma, Usha Choudhary, Raj Rani Jamwal, Sakina Bano, Vikram Choudhary, Sunil Dogra, Parduman Singh, Vicky Gupta and many others were amnog those who took part in today’s protest demonstration. |
