| Will provide security to Pandits willing to return to Valley: Omar | | | Bhopal: Jammu-Kashmir Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah on Saturday said that his government will ensure security and provide economic package to Kashmiri Pandits willing to come back to Valley after they left it nearly two decades ago to flee the insurgency. "We have announced an economic package and also made provisions for repairing houses of those Kashmiri Pandits who have left the valley due to insurgency," Abdullah told reporters during the Eighth Annual Adventure Tourism Meet here. "As the security situation is improving in the Valley, they can come back to the state," he said. On the issue of Sageer Committee report regarding strengthening Centre-State relations, he said that his party has its own views on report and will hold a discussion on it. When asked about BJP's opposition to it and their threat that they will make it a nationwide issue, he said that he didn't want to comment on the BJP and its policies. "When they failed in making the temple-mosque issue at the national level, how can they make it a nationwide issue," he said. On the issue of reducing troops from the state, he said that it will not be done without taking into account the security situation.
