| PK seeks support for homeland | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 17 Panun Kashmir (PK) has welcomed the supportive gestures of those national level leaders and parties who, without any inhibition, are openly coming in support for the struggle of Homeland for the Kashmiri Pandits. The Supreme Council of PK in a meeting convened here today under the chairmanship of Dr Agnishekhar took note of the whole hearted support extended by Ladakh Union Territory Front (LUTF),Shiv Sena (Hindustan) and other socio political organizations for the demand of Homeland by the Kashmiri Pandits. It was unanimously resolved to reciprocate a unified action, endorsement and support for the demand of Union Territory Status for Ladakhies and for the fair justice for refugees of 1947 from POK and West Pakistan. Panun Kashmir is overwhelmed by the valuable support extended by Bhartiya Rashtriya Samanta Party (BRSP) which has incorporated in its political agenda , the demand for Homeland by Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir. PK, however, will publicly felicitate Col T.P.Yyagi, President of BRSP in the seminar slated to be held on January 20 in Jammu. The members also made special mention of Raj Nath Singh, Ex- President Bhartiya Janta Party, for endorsing and supporting the demand of Homeland in Kashmir in the Party’s Bangalore convention which was followed by Madhya Pradesh government by unequivocally passing a resolution to this effect, in the state assembly in July 2009. In the meeting issues having explicit and implicit bearing on the future of the Kashmiri Pandits emerging due to the present political scenario in the state were also discussed in detail. It was felt by the members in one voice that the need of the hour was to remain alert and vigilant against any crafty mechanisms of the powers that be. The meeting dwelt upon an action plan to be undertaken by the rank and file of Panun Kashmir for massive awareness campaign across the country against the nefarious designs that want to strike at the roots of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country.
