| Shahdara Sharief to get Technical College | | Soz, Ministers, Congress leaders pay obeisance at shrine | | Early Times Report Jammu Jan 17: Former Union Minister and MP, Mr. Saif-ud-Din Soz, Minister for Youth Services and Sports, Mr. R. S. Chib, former Deputy Chief Minister, Mr. Mangat Ram Sharma, Minister of State for Power, Mr. Shabir Ahmad Khan today paid obeisance at Shahdara Sharief shrine. The dignitaries were on two day tour to the border district Rajouri and Poonch. The Ministers prayed for peace and prosperity of the State at the shrine. They also enquired from the management about the facilities available for the visiting devotees. Addressing a mammoth gathering at Thannamandi, Mr. Chib reiterated government’s resolve for balanced development of all the three regions of the State. He said that State Government has initiated several measures for providing basic amenities to the people living in far-flung and remote areas like Rajouri-Poonch, Doda-Kishtwar, Bani-Basholi, Gurez-Tangdar, Kargil-Zanskar. He said that various vital sectors like education and health are being strengthened in respect of infrastructure so that the people are benefited with these facilities. He said that the State Government under the dynamic leadership of the Chief Minister, Mr. Omar Abdullah will leave no stone unturned in ameliorating the lot of poor masses and downtrodden people. While responding to the local demand regarding setting up of a Technical College at Shahdara Sharief, the Minister said that he would take up the issue on priority. Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri, Mr. J. P. Singh and SSP, Rajouri, Mr. Shafqat Watali accompanied the Minister.
