| Chib visiting Prof BGSBU | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, JAN 17: Minister for Medical Education, Technical Education and Youth Services and Sports, Mr. R. S. Chib was today conferred a unique honour of being on the visiting faculty as a Professor of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University.
At a function held at University campus, this afternoon, the VC Mr. Masood Choudhary disclosed the same about the honour bestowed upon Mr Chib.
Credited with a degree in electronics and telecommunication from the renowned Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani India and Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, Mr. Chib has established his academic creditials during his chequared career of 19 years in the Indian Air Force. He is one among the very rarest Airforce scholar who has endeavored himself for being an ace professional and academic Airforce officer.
During his contribution in his professional career, Mr. Chib has earned laurels for himself and the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
Hailing from Border town R S Pura of Jammu District, Mr. Chib established himself as the true son of the Dogra Marshal race and won the reputation of being a reputed officer in the Indian Air Force.
Acknowledging his high degree of professionalism, Mr. Chib was awarded Vishisht Sewa Medal (VSM) in the year 1982. He is one of the few dignitaries who have relentlessly served the nation as a solider.
After a glorious career of Nineteen years in the prestigious Indian Air Force, Mr Chib opted to serve the people at grass root level by joining the State’s politics. By the dint of his intelligence and determination of a soldier, he soon secured a strong position in the politics and became a Minister.
At present Chib is serving his second term as the cabinet Minister in the Jammu and Kashmir Government.
The honor he received from the BGSBU as the Visiting Prof has added another feather in his long list of achievements.
